A Mac. Cut Genie is a desktop app, so it works on long, high-quality videos without uploading them anywhere. A Windows version is planned.
No. Editing, speech recognition and exporting all happen on your computer. When you use Cut Genie AI, it receives the words spoken in the video (and, for picture features like keeping people in frame, a few small still frames), never the video itself.
It plans edits from what you ask, picks big key words and graphics, suggests shorts, describes your B-roll, chooses stock footage and writes the words for your post. Everything it suggests is checked against what's really said in the video, and you can undo any of it.
Each smart job, like suggesting graphics or writing your post, uses one. Creator includes 100 a month and Pro 500; the free trial includes 30. Editing itself (cutting, captions, exports) never uses them.
Stock footage comes from free libraries whose licences allow commercial use, and Cut Genie keeps the creator's credit with each clip. Music is coming soon.
Pro sends your edit to Premiere Pro (or DaVinci Resolve) as a normal, editable timeline. For CapCut, export the video and a captions file to bring in.
